Lina Pavanel and Tabitha Perlitz work out of the Kamloops head office. Jointly they bring a strong financial and administrative presence to QED Technical Services Inc. Day to day activities include the management of accounting, finance, and office administrative functions. In addition, Lina and Tabitha are involved in financial risk mitigation, and company growth strategy development and planning.
Engineering Advisor
As the Principal Engineer of our associated Engineering Firm, StruthersTech, Chris Struthers brings over 20 years of power system engineering skills to our group. With specialties in medium and high voltage systems, power generation and all types of substations, Chris is able to provide a high level of practical engineering expertise that few of our competitors are able to offer.
Business Development
Rex Gould has over 40 years of experience in the electrical industry. Rex started his career in field service but went on to specialize in project management, sales, and engineering support of large industrial electrical infrastructure including generation, distribution, and major end users. He has supported clients in all industries such as mining, pulp and paper, and renewable energy projects worldwide.
Energy Management
Terry Brace has a mechanical engineering background, is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). As energy lead of a multi-site industrial customer he was responsible for corporate wide billing management, strategy development, goal setting, employee engagement, energy reduction project identification, performance measurement, and reporting.
Field Service Specialist
Bruce Kennedy is an Electrician and Winder with over 30 years of experience in electrical field-service. Bruce has worked on equipment in virtually every industrial sector including gas insulated switchgear for utilities to voltage regulation for independent power producers. Oil filling, Gas filling, 500kV substation testing, and protection testing only begin to list what Bruce has accomplished.
Field Service Specialist
Victor Holm is an Electrician and Winder with over 20 years of experience. Victor specializes in rotating and stationary reactive apparatus including transformers, generators and motors. He has worked on all makes and sizes of equipment up to 500kV and 400MVA in size including fabrication, field testing, maintenance and repair.
Project Engineer
Jordan Krog is a Professional Electrical Engineer with experience in consulting and field services. Jordan has been involved in the pre-design to commissioning of projects including electrical and controls design, system analysis, testing, and maintenance. He brings a field level perspective to project management as well as the technical engineering detail.
Field Service Technician
Gregor is an Applied Science Technologist and a Certified Electrical Engineer in Germany, with 17 years of work experience. Gregor has successfully completed projects all over Europe, parts of Asia, and now in Canada. Gregor specializes in high voltage insulation systems; protection system design, testing and integration; PLC automation and control systems; and communication loops and protocol bridging.
Field Service Technician
Josh has a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology and holds a 309A – Electrician Construction and Maintenance ticket along with an FSR A – Field Safety Representative Class A in the province of British Columbia. Josh has been studying and practicing in the electrical field since 2006 and has had the opportunity to explore many different aspects of the industry, including mining, mill expansions, shaft sinking and utility operations and maintenance.
Field Service Technician
Nigel is a Journeyperson Electrician and has been in the electrical field since 2014. His career started in commercial and industrial construction. More recently Nigel worked for an OEM for the manufacturing of low and medium-voltage switch gear, which included factory testing, installation, and commissioning.
Field Service Technician
Todd is a Journeyperson Electrician that has been in the electrical field since 2016. He specializes in industrial construction, working throughout Western Canada and the Southern United States building electrical infrastructure for sawmills and mines. Todd has over 10 years of heavy equipment experience holding multiple tickets, including a Class 3 Driver’s License.
Field Service Technician
Lucas is a Journeyperson Electrician and has been in the electrical field since 2014. He began his career doing industrial work with a focus on cell tower construction. He then spent the following 5 years in Kelowna doing single phase and three phase construction, troubleshooting, and utility service installs. Most recently Lucas has been working in the oil and gas industry coordinating, constructing, and testing of natural gas modulars, as well as other active plant projects.
Field Service Technician
Ace is a Journeyperson Electrician that has been in the electrical field since 2018, primarily working in the industrial and utility sectors. During this time, he gained expertise in electrical substation construction, with high voltage cable terminations, protection and control wiring, and glanding and switchgear installations. Most recently, Ace worked on projects for a large utility involving installations of low- to medium-voltage gas-insulated switchgear.
Welding Specialist
Wes is our inhouse Red Seal Class A welder/pipefitter with over 19 years of experience. He specializes in the welding and fabrication of pressure piping and vessels in new construction as well as maintenance and repair. Wes is also well versed in the development of safe work procedures and weld test procedures to meet all safety standards.
